ANNOUNCEMENT — CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY RESPONSIBLY!
Date Issued: 06/27/2025
Expiration Date: 07/10/2025
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our nation, we want to make some important reminders to our community! Whether you're enjoying fireworks, hosting a BBQ, or spending time with family and friends, please remember:
Fireworks - State law allows the use of fireworks between 5 PM and 2 hours after sunset on June 29th through July 3rd and July 5th through July 9th. On July 4th, fireworks can be used between 10 AM and midnight. For more information, please visit https://www.in.gov/.../get.../fire-safety/fireworks-safety/.
Plan ahead – If you’re drinking, don’t drive. Use a designated driver, ride share, or public transportation. We’ll be out to ensure our roads stay safe.
Grill safely – Keep grills away from structures, never leave them unattended, and make sure coals are fully extinguished when done.
Protect your pets – Fireworks can be frightening for animals. Keep them indoors in a calm, secure place.
Our officers will be on duty throughout the day and night to keep our community safe. If you need us, don’t hesitate to call.
Let’s celebrate responsibly and make it a great holiday for all. Stay safe, stay smart, and Happy 4th of July!
